Oh, great intentions

Why do I have a blog? I like blogs–the clean format and easy accessibility. I enjoy writing and keeping records and reading them years later. Blogs don’t require any qualifications…the truth is, anyone with a computer and an internet connection can have one. It’s getting people to read it that is the tricky part.

But for me, I don’t care whether I have readers or not. I began blogging to have a public online account of myself, something more modern and permanent, and to get in the habit before I inevitably began my travels. I had this blog for a full year to get used to the process before I shared the URL with anyone, so I’m still getting used to having readers I actually know.

When I travel, I will use this blog to keep anyone who is interested updated as best as I can.
